Three new anthologies are out now or due soon with stories I’ve contributed.
First and foremost, I am thrilled and honored – and maybe a bit shocked – to share a table of contents with horror icons Clive Barker and Ramsey Campbell with my story Lysergic Is The Circle Of My Secret. The anthology is “The Mad Butterfly’s Ball” from PS Publishing, edited by Chris Kelso and Preston Grassmann. Insects are the theme. My story is about metamorphosis, synesthesia, queer murder, and paint. Check out the beautiful art and full table of contents at PS Publishing for more about this incredibly special volume.
Next up is The Head Harvest in the anthology “Why Didn’t You Just Leave” from Cursed Morsels Press, edited by Nadia Bulkin and Julia Rios. This might be my first ever haunted house story – but is the house haunted, or are you? A college student comes home between semesters to find the house he grew up in has altered. He can’t get in. He can’t find his family. Reality misbehaves. As he puts the puzzle pieces together, things go wrong with his body, maybe his mind. Then it gets really weird.
Last, Untitled, With Demon is my love letter to torture porn in the anthology “It Was All A Dream 2: Another Anthology of Bad Horror Tropes Done Right” from Hungry Shadow Press, edited by Brandon Applegate. I spoke with Brandon about the story and my ongoing war with linear time at the Hungry Shadow Blog if you’d like to learn more about my very cruel and disturbing story.
I’m delighted to mention that I’ll be working with Hungry Shadow yet again in “And One Day We Will Die,” edited by Patrick Barb. It’s an anthology of stories that homage Neutral Milk Hotel songs. I love music-based anthologies and almost always send stories to them when I can, and now that I think about it, I’ve never had one rejected! Oops, guess I just jinxed it!
For this band, I chose the instrumental piece “The Fool” as the basis for my identity-bending horror story “The Clown King In Yellow.” The song has always conjured the most striking mental imagery for me. I’m looking forward to letting my vision poison other people’s brains in the near future.
Thank you for visiting. If you enjoy my writing, please follow. I only post when I have new work to share and news of upcoming releases or events.

Invaginies is an invasion, it is a perception that is bodily and transcendent creating holes, paths, or pockets of alternate truth—and not always voluntary—enlightenment.
