Godslingers

Delighted to have my story “Godslingers” out in the new anthology The Earth Bleeds at Night from Eerie River Press. It’s a contemporary queer look at the Orphic mysteries, and a continuation of a cycle of stories that will one day become a novel.

On the technical side, it has a mirror structure, which was something I dreamed about while working on it. After the dream I discovered, thanks to a friend, that mirror-structured tales do exist and have their precedent most often in religious literature. The shape seemed quite fitting narratively and thematically. Many thanks to my sleeping brain for keeping me on the correct path for this piece!

I’m really pleased to share pages with esteemed storytellers and friends. With such a great table of contents, I hope you’ll find plenty to spark your interest in the book.
