Turquoise Estuary, Two A.M.

Though in no way Halloween themed, this Halloween marks the debut of Portals, an ongoing queer-focused anthology project from the publishers of Otherside magazine. My contribution is Turquoise Estuary, Two A.M. , appearing in Twisted Bodies, Borrowed Skin from Hybris Press.

It was both painful and delightful to write, and I hope you’ll enjoy this difficulty. Maybe even savor it. (If you don’t enjoy a little bit of difficulty, I doubt you’re even reading this.)

Editors Angel Leal and Jess Cho kindly plucked my story from the Otherside slush pile and built the anthology around it. They mention in their introduction that they specifically wanted to give a home to stories that went a little too far for most venues, especially regarding the body and sex, and I am tremendously pleased to help facilitate this. I am always in favor, in creative work, of going a little too far.
