Given

Today I have a new short story featured in Shortwave magazine online. It’s free to read. I hope you’ll take a moment to check it out.

Part corporate horror, part identity horror, Given is part of my recent experimentation with more simplified language. I’m not giving up on purple prose and wild flights of fanciful obscure language; but having pushed that envelope further than many readers could tolerate, I wanted to explore something more direct, streamlined, and yet just as intricately made.

“This is my design.”

Read “Given” in Shortwave Magazine.

Thank you for reading! If you enjoy my work, please follow this blog for updates. Consider supporting my continued creativity and existence by picking up a copy of CONVULSIVE or THE WINGSPAN OF SEVERED HANDS for yourself, a friend, an evil nemesis, or a local free library.
