Book Announcement: INVAGINIES

Hey, I’m almost a whole month late sharing here, but things have been busy! I attended Voidcon’s inaugural horror festival in West Virginia earlier this month. I met many of the editors I’ve worked with in horror publishing, other authors, readers, and friends I’ve come to know and cherish online. What a delight being around my people. I met some new amazing authors and saw some thoroughly disgusting films. It was a huge buzz.

Now that I’m getting caught up at home, I have great news. I’m thrilled to share my next book will be released in 2024 through the fantastic Clash Books. I even have one of those fancy Publisher’s Marketplace announcements!

This collection gathers together my best and most passionate stories from the past two years, and includes a brand new novelette dealing with my interest in (or mild obsession with) the notorious lost footage from the film Event Horizon.

My work is fiction, of course, and not scholarly, although I’ve researched the facts quite thoroughly in order to pervert them into something stranger than the very strange reality of what went on behind the scenes and after the film was butchered edited. Think of my piece as an ekphrastic use of the missing film footage, a jumping-off place to explore what’s suggested by its absence.

We’ve already completed edits and cover art for INVAGINIES, so I hope to have some revolting imagery from Matthew Revert to share here soon. As always, his interpretation of the book’s sick and twisted soul is perfect.

One more quick note: My self-published and deeply cursed chapbook The Shipwreck of the Cerberus is nearly sold out. I counted twelve copies remaining today. If you’d like to indulge in the toxic narrative, click WRECK ME for ordering information.

Thank you for reading! If you enjoy my writing, please follow. I only post when I have new work to share and news of upcoming releases or events.
