It’s Time to Get Some Head

In an amusing confluence of table of contents reveals, two of my forthcoming stories have recently been announced:

“The Head Harvest” and “Schroedinger’s Head”

“The Head Harvest” is my first haunted house story, except the house may not be a house, and the haunting may be something you carry far beyond its confines. Along with stories by a stunning group of contributors, “The Head Harvest” will appear in Why Didn’t You Just Leave, edited by Nadia Bulkin and Julia Rios.

Here’s the full TOC:

Nadia and Julia put so much thought and care into editing this book. They assembled authors from a variety of cultures and backgrounds to investigate the haunted house trope. It’s going to be a really special book. I’ll post links to buy when it goes live.

Next, my corporate horror “Schroedinger’s Head” will be reprinted in Thank You For Joining The Algorithm, edited by Cameron Howard and Alex Woodroe. Here’s what Tenebrous Press says about this charity project:

Appropriately, the cover serves up a severed head:

Isn’t it gorgeous? Pre-order here: Thank You For Joining The Algorithm

  1. Hey Joe, Just wanted to tip my hat to you for “By Their Bones Ye Shall Know Them” – when I first read it I couldn’t tell if it was genius or obtuse. Read it a few more times. Asked others to read it. Before they read it, I devoured it a few more times (unusual considering my schedule), and ended up on genius. It’s one of my fave things that I’ve read this year. Would love to see an animated version of the story.  (Also ordered one of your novels.) Keep you the flex.  Cheers! DSH davidscotthay.com
