The Yellow Leaves

Tales From Between is a new online magazine featuring some lovely liminal flash fiction including my story “The Yellow Leaves.”

Without spoiling the story, I can let you in on the fact that it has very specific references to a non-western mythology that resonated with my experience of working with loss. It’s meant to be a puzzle with a great deal of misdirection and a trick ending. Overall, it’s a sad story however you interpret it.

I’ll have another more surreal piece published through the magazine in the near future. It’s based on NASA’s twin studies on the effects of space travel and it includes a metal song for some extra garishness. It will be lots of fun. For now you can read the latest story here: The Yellow Leaves
