You Want It Darker

As we approach the darkest night of the year, I have an unsettling gift for you. My very short cosmic horror story Oh Holy Night, the Stars is free to read online. Let me know if it leaves you in despair.

Along with three other dark and brilliant stories, it’s a winning entry in the Death Knell Press Flash on the Fly winter holiday contest. Fellow “Queer Saint” Ria Hill contributes a searing short piece about the hidden pain of micro-agressions during the holidays. I hope you’ll read them all.

Winter Solstice is a time for turning inward, going deeper, introspectively reviewing your year’s activity while getting in touch with what you truly want and need in the coming new year. It’s too bad the commercial tradition of gift giving seems to distract from this essential gift that we need to give ourselves.

I hope during the next few weeks you’re able to look deeply and come out of the darkness wiser.

Thank you for visiting. If you’re interested in my writing, please follow. I only post when I have new work to share and news of upcoming releases or events.
