Brave New Weird

What a huge honor to find my short story “Blood Calumny” nominated for Tenebrous Press’s forthcoming BRAVE NEW WEIRD. It’s a very personal story about being a dude with a uterus (a duderus?) and I may have murdered JKR much too subtly in it by reducing her to a clog of blonde hair in a drain.

“Blood Calumny” was originally published by Sliced Up Press in the anthology BODIES FULL OF BURNING and it now appears in my collection CONVULSIVE.

Tenebrous Press received over 700 stories and I can say I’m freaking thrilled to make the shortlist of about 60 chosen from some of the most talented writers in horror. There’s too many to mention here. I recommend bookmarking this list as a nice little curated guide to weird horror in case you’ve missed any of the authors. I’m excited to read those who are new to me.
